2013 was a great year for OnTESOL as we celebrated our 10th anniversary with new courses, books, and job assistance services. We want to thank all our trainers and trainees for helping us grow and improve once again.
In March, we launched the new 20-hour Teaching Business English Course (TBEC). Now trainees can take the 120-hour Specialized TESOL Certificate, which combines our standard 100-hour TESOL Certificate program with their choice of 20-hour TBEC or Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) specialization.
In June, Claudia Bertotto, our Director of Studies, co-published the first book of the You Can Teach Grammar series with other prominent Trinity CertTESOL trainers from Toronto, Canada. This book is a self-contained grammar book for accredited TESOL courses and has been approved for use in the 5-week on-site Trinity CertTESOL course offered by Coventry House International. You Can Teach Grammar is also a great reference book for the ESL classroom as it includes ideas for teaching grammar in a meaningful way and answers to difficult grammar questions. The You Can Teach Grammar series allowed Coventry House International and OnTESOL to expand into the publishing industry and open new opportunities for 2014.
Furthermore, as part of our commitment to quality TESOL training, we continued to publish free material for new teachers. You can find our new video tutorials on the OnTESOL You Tube Channel or visit our blog to find TESOL Expert articles written by our accredited teacher trainers and experienced TESOL graduates who are teaching English worldwide.
In October, OnTESOL associated with Reach to Teach Recruiting to offer discounts on our accredited TESOL courses and provide free ESL placement services to our graduates. If you are looking for a good job in China, South Korea (EPIK and private schools), Taiwan, Thailand, or the UAE, we recommend Reach to Teach Recruiting. Also in October, OnTESOL started offering free recruitment services in Hong Kong for public and private school positions.
We want to thank everyone for making 2013 a great year for OnTESOL! We hope that 2014 is a great year for our trainees, trainers, and partners. Stay tuned for news on the development of more online and on-site TESOL courses as well as new books and more free resources!
